Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Gooseberries by Fedor Petrovich Tolstoi for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,312.39). This price was achieved in the auction Russian Paintings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fedor Petrovich Tolstoi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Countrussian Goosberrries, 1818, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 44,200.00 (€ 28,391.57).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Gooseberries von Fedor Petrovich Tolstoi für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.312,39) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Russian Paintings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Fedor Petrovich Tolstoi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Countrussian Goosberrries, 1818 beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 44.200,00 (€ 28.391,57) versteigert wurde.
