Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Works on Paper: Drawings, Watercolours and Prints 1500-1900, which included the work Still life with a yellow-throated euphonia, butterfly and red and white currants by Fedor Petrovich Tolstoi. The price achieved of GBP 4,788.00 (€ 5,717.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fedor Petrovich Tolstoi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Countrussian Goosberrries, 1818 in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 44,200.00 (€ 28,391.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper: Drawings, Watercolours and Prints 1500-1900 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still life with a yellow-throated euphonia, butterfly and red and white currants von Fedor Petrovich Tolstoi zur Versteigerung kam.
