Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction From Taddeo to Tiepolo: The Dr. John O’Brien Collection of Old Master Drawings, which included the work Recto and Verso: Studies for The Canonization of St. Hyacinth by Clement VIII by Federico Zuccaro. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 15,120.00 (€ 12,459.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Federico Zuccaro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Submission Of The Emperor Frederick Barbarossa To Pope Alexander Iii in January 2010 with an auction result of USD 194,500.00 (€ 140,230.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion From Taddeo to Tiepolo: The Dr. John O’Brien Collection of Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Recto and Verso: Studies for The Canonization of St. Hyacinth by Clement VIII von Federico Zuccaro zur Versteigerung kam.
