In the Old Master & British Drawings auction, the work Design for the two outer wings of an altarpiece with a group of virgin martyrs and other female saints sold for USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,527.29) - well above the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Federico Zuccaro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Submission Of The Emperor Frederick Barbarossa To Pope Alexander Iii in January 2010 with an auction result of USD 194,500.00 (€ 140,230.71).
