Upper estimate price exceeded by 35 %.
The work Madonna And Child by Federico Zuccaro was sold in the Old Master Drawings auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2012. The »bidding war« ended at USD 16,250.00 (€ 12,449.25), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Federico Zuccaro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Submission Of The Emperor Frederick Barbarossa To Pope Alexander Iii in January 2010 with an auction result of USD 194,500.00 (€ 140,230.71).
