Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Still Life by Federico Aguilar Alcuaz for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,064.97). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 140,000.00 – 250,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Federico Aguilar Alcuaz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cockfight in May 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,096,000.00 (€ 128,601.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Still Life von Federico Aguilar Alcuaz für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.064,97) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 140.000,00 – 250.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Federico Aguilar Alcuaz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cockfight im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.096.000,00 (€ 128.601,06).
