It achieved a price of HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,581.34), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Federico Aguilar Alcuaz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cockfight in May 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,096,000.00 (€ 128,601.06).

Die Arbeit ABSTRACT von Federico Aguilar Alcuaz wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) Including a Selection of Japanese Woodblock Prints from Private Collections bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 10.581,34) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Federico Aguilar Alcuaz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cockfight im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.096.000,00 (€ 128.601,06).
