It achieved a price of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 59,149.11), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Federico Aguilar Alcuaz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cockfight, which sold at auction in May 2015 for HKD 1,096,000.00 (€ 128,601.06).

Die Arbeit Composition: Four Birds von Federico Aguilar Alcuaz kam im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 59.149,11) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Für andere Arbeiten von Federico Aguilar Alcuaz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cockfight beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für HKD 1.096.000,00 (€ 128.601,06) versteigert wurde.
