Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Faramarz Pilaram could be acquired at Sothebys in London in October 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction, this work without title changed hands for GBP 52,920.00 (€ 58,763.15) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Faramarz Pilaram have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 385,000.00 (€ 247,302.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Faramarz Pilaram konnte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 52.920,00 (€ 58.763,15) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Faramarz Pilaram auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 385.000,00 (€ 247.302,16).
