Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2016 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern & Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (Composition 6) by Faramarz Pilaram. Here, the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 87,500.00 (€ 79,821.20). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Faramarz Pilaram - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 385,000.00 (€ 247,302.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Composition 6) von Faramarz Pilaram zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 87.500,00 (€ 79.821,20) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Faramarz Pilaram mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 385.000,00 (€ 247.302,16) versteigert wurde.
