Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Faramarz Pilaram was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,407.11) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Faramarz Pilaram have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 385,000.00 (€ 247,302.16).
