Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art Online, which included the work Acrylic No. 2 by Fanny Sanín. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 15,693.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fanny Sanín - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Acrylic No. 4, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 47,339.52).
