Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Landscape With Figures by Fang Shishu was worth GBP 24,500.00 (€ 34,306.34) to a buyer in November 2007. This price was achieved in the auction The Mu-Fei Collection of Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fang Shishu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Autumn Colors On The Qiao And Hua Mountain Following Zhao Mengfu And Dong Qichang in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 1,330,000.00 (€ 1,183,484.61).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion The Mu-Fei Collection of Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fang Shishu erzielen.
