In October 2016 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction A Selection of Chen Wen Hsi Paintings and Modern and Contemporary Ink Art, which included the work Secluded Dwelling Among Clouds And Mountains by Fang Jun. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 76,700.00 (€ 9,026.00), 28% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fang Jun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wild Geese Appear for a Good Autumn, which sold at auction in August last year for HKD 271,400.00 (€ 34,353.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2016 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion A Selection of Chen Wen Hsi Paintings and Modern and Contemporary Ink Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Secluded Dwelling Among Clouds And Mountains von Fang Jun zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 76.700,00 (€ 9.026,00) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Fang Jun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wild Geese Appear for a Good Autumn beobachtet, die im August letzten Jahres für HKD 271.400,00 (€ 34.353,07) versteigert wurde.
