Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A River On The Horizon by Fang Jun was sold in the Contemporary Ink Art : Journey auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. The price achieved of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,561.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 65,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fang Jun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wild Geese Appear for a Good Autumn, which sold at auction in August last year for HKD 271,400.00 (€ 34,353.07).

Die Arbeit A River On The Horizon von Fang Jun wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Contemporary Ink Art : Journey bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 9.561,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 65.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Fang Jun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wild Geese Appear for a Good Autumn beobachtet, die im August letzten Jahres für HKD 271.400,00 (€ 34.353,07) versteigert wurde.
