Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Flowers and Birds by Fang Hengxian. The price achieved of HKD 239,400.00 (€ 26,629.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fang Hengxian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flowers And Insects Scrolls, which sold at auction in April 2013 for HKD 690,000.00 (€ 67,543.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flowers and Birds von Fang Hengxian zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 239.400,00 (€ 26.629,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Fang Hengxian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flowers And Insects Scrolls beobachtet, die im April 2013 für HKD 690.000,00 (€ 67.543,29) versteigert wurde.
