The work Landscape by Fang Congyi was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2006. It achieved a price of HKD 90,000.00 (€ 9,039.98), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fang Congyi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mountain Scenery in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 5,900,000.00 (€ 681,930.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Landscape von Fang Congyi wurde im Mai 2006 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 90.000,00 (€ 9.039,98) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fang Congyi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mountain Scenery im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.900.000,00 (€ 681.930,85).
