Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2015 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy In Running Script by Fan Zengxiang. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 35,400.00 (€ 4,135.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fan Zengxiang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 45,040.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2015 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Fan Zengxiang zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 35.400,00 (€ 4.135,66) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fan Zengxiang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 45.040,59).
