Admittedly, works by Fan Zengxiang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 45,040.59).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Regular Script von Fan Zengxiang kam im September 2017 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.819,86) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 72%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fan Zengxiang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 45.040,59).
