In April 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy In Kaishu by Fan Zengxiang. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 175,000.00 (€ 20,224.87), 46% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fan Zengxiang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu, which sold at auction in October 2018 for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 45,040.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy In Kaishu von Fan Zengxiang zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 20.224,87) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Fan Zengxiang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 45.040,59) versteigert wurde.
