Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Fan Zengxiang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy Couplet sold for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 19,122.88) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fan Zengxiang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu, which sold at auction in October 2018 for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 45,040.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fan Zengxiang erzielte im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet für HKD 162.500,00 (€ 19.122,88) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Fan Zengxiang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 45.040,59) versteigert wurde.
