In September 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet In Regular Script by Fan Zengxiang. The auction ended at the price of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,583.59), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fan Zengxiang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 45,040.59).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im September 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Regular Script von Fan Zengxiang zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.583,59) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fan Zengxiang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 45.040,59).
