This artwork by Fan Zengxiang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2012. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Calligraphic Couplet sold for HKD 56,250.00 (€ 5,577.44) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fan Zengxiang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 45,040.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fan Zengxiang erzielte im November 2012 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplet für HKD 56.250,00 (€ 5.577,44) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fan Zengxiang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Kaishu im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 45.040,59).
