The work White Carnations(Painted in 1955) by Fan Tchunpi was sold in the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction at China Guardian in October last year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 984,000.00 (€ 126,095.43), 59% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Fan Tchunpi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Flute Player in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 9,440,000.00 (€ 1,110,892.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 59 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit White Carnations(Painted in 1955) von Fan Tchunpi wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art bei China Guardian versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 984.000,00 (€ 126.095,43) und damit 59% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fan Tchunpi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Flute Player im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.440.000,00 (€ 1.110.892,17).
