Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Peach Blossoms, Beijing by Fan Tchunpi was sold in the 20th Century Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 160,000.00 – 250,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 163,800.00 (€ 19,633.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fan Tchunpi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Flute Player in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 9,440,000.00 (€ 1,110,892.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Peach Blossoms, Beijing von Fan Tchunpi wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 160.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 163.800,00 (€ 19.633,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fan Tchunpi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Flute Player im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.440.000,00 (€ 1.110.892,17).
