Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Waterfall by Fan Tchunpi was worth HKD 11,800.00 (€ 1,328.70) to a buyer in October 2018. This price was achieved in the auction Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy at China Guardian in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 2,500.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fan Tchunpi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Flute Player in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 9,440,000.00 (€ 1,110,892.17).
Kunstwerk zum Vierfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Waterfall von Fan Tchunpi war einem Käufer im Oktober 2018 HKD 11.800,00 (€ 1.328,70) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 2.500,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fan Tchunpi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Flute Player im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.440.000,00 (€ 1.110.892,17).
