Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ezra Stoller could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work The Guggenheim, Almost Empty changed hands for USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,218.33) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ezra Stoller have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Miami Parking Garage, 1948 in May 2015 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 13,903.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ezra Stoller konnte im Oktober 2013 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit The Guggenheim, Almost Empty für USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.218,33) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ezra Stoller auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Miami Parking Garage, 1948 im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 13.903,95).
