Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in Paris held the auction Ireland / France: Art & Literature, which included the work Still Life | Nature morte by Evie Sydney Hone. The price achieved of EUR 5,040.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Evie Sydney Hone have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in September 2018 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,270.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Ireland / France: Art & Literature durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life | Nature morte von Evie Sydney Hone zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.040,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Evie Sydney Hone auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 25.270,39).
