In the Modern British & Irish Art auction, the work Trees by a Lough sold for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,607.41) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Evie Sydney Hone have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in September 2018 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,270.39).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Evie Sydney Hone erzielte im Juli 2015 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Trees by a Lough für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 4.607,41) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Evie Sydney Hone auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 25.270,39).
