Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2019 Christies in London held the auction The Ross Collection From Knockmore, Enniskerry, Wicklow, Part II, which included the work Study for a stained glass window at Clongowes Wood Chapel: The Crucifixion by Evie Sydney Hone. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 600.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 625.00 (€ 733.90). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Evie Sydney Hone achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in September 2018 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,270.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Ross Collection From Knockmore, Enniskerry, Wicklow, Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study for a stained glass window at Clongowes Wood Chapel: The Crucifixion von Evie Sydney Hone zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 625,00 (€ 733,90) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Evie Sydney Hone erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 25.270,39).
