The artist later travelled to Paris, London and Scotland before settling in Laren in 1917. The painter and the Belgian sculptor Alphonse van Beurden (1854-1938) were part of the same young art circle in Antwerp: Als Ik Kan.

A top price for Evert Pieters
In March 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction 19th Century and British Impressionist Art, which included the work The sculptor Alphonse van Beurden in his studio by Evert Pieters. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 15,250.00 (€ 17,914.82). With this result, The sculptor Alphonse van Beurden in his studio is even the most expensive work of art by Evert Pieters that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Evert Pieters
Im März 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The sculptor Alphonse van Beurden in his studio von Evert Pieters zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 15.250,00 (€ 17.914,82) einen neuen Besitzer. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist The sculptor Alphonse van Beurden in his studio sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Evert Pieters, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
