In January 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art, which included the work Home Industry by Evert Pieters. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,474.15), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Evert Pieters have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The sculptor Alphonse van Beurden in his studio in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 15,250.00 (€ 17,914.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Januar 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Home Industry von Evert Pieters zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.474,15) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Evert Pieters auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The sculptor Alphonse van Beurden in his studio im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.250,00 (€ 17.914,82).
