Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Navires En Réparation Dans Le Port de Toulon by Eugène-Louis Gillot was auctioned at Christies in Paris in June 2005, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 120.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène-Louis Gillot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rue De Seine, Towards The Grand Palais, Paris in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,376.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Navires En Réparation Dans Le Port de Toulon von Eugène-Louis Gillot im Juni 2005 bei Christies in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 120,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène-Louis Gillot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rue De Seine, Towards The Grand Palais, Paris im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.376,92).
