Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nude Male by Eugène Jansson was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 12,873.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Jansson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Timmermansgatan' (Timmermansgatan) in December 2021 with an auction result of SEK 3,150,000.00 (€ 307,262.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nude Male von Eugène Jansson kam im Oktober 2013 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 12.873,33) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Jansson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Timmermansgatan' (Timmermansgatan) im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 3.150.000,00 (€ 307.262,77).
