Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Charge by Eugène Fromentin was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March last year. The price achieved of GBP 40,320.00 (€ 47,803.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Fromentin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Windstorm On The Esparto Plains Of The Sahara in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 639,000.00 (€ 741,194.17).
