Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Love Letter by Eugen von Blaas was sold in the British and European Art auction at Christies in London in July last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 88,200.00 (€ 105,326.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Eugen von Blaas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Maiden With A Basket Of Roses in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 615,000.00 (€ 540,469.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Love Letter von Eugen von Blaas wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion British and European Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 88.200,00 (€ 105.326,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eugen von Blaas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Maiden With A Basket Of Roses im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 615.000,00 (€ 540.469,29).
