The work Perpetuum immobile by Eugene Berman was auctioned at Christies in New York in May this year. It achieved a price of USD 50,400.00 (€ 47,306.18), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Eugene Berman; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Backview of Proserpina in Black sold at auction in May this year with the realized price of USD 68,040.00 (€ 63,863.34).

Die Arbeit Perpetuum immobile von Eugene Berman kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 50.400,00 (€ 47.306,18) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Eugene Berman; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Backview of Proserpina in Black im Mai diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 68.040,00 (€ 63.863,34).
