The work 'Treetops' Floor Lamp by Ettore Sottsass was sold in the Boundless: Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in December 2017. It achieved a price of HKD 32,500.00 (€ 3,460.32), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ettore Sottsass achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composizione di elementi di legno colorato e specchio, il tutto unito da funi di canapa, designed for Galleria Arform, Milan in April 2018 with an auction result of GBP 309,000.00 (€ 351,918.09).

Die Arbeit 'Treetops' Floor Lamp von Ettore Sottsass wurde im Dezember 2017 in der Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 32.500,00 (€ 3.460,32) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ettore Sottsass erzielen.
