Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2019 Artcurial in Paris held the auction More, which included the work Meuble Cabinet - Création 1964 by Ettore Sottsass. It changed hands for a price of EUR 11,700.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ettore Sottsass achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composizione di elementi di legno colorato e specchio, il tutto unito da funi di canapa, designed for Galleria Arform, Milan in April 2018 with an auction result of GBP 309,000.00 (€ 351,918.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2019 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion More durch, in der auch die Arbeit Meuble Cabinet - Création 1964 von Ettore Sottsass zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 11.700,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ettore Sottsass erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composizione di elementi di legno colorato e specchio, il tutto unito da funi di canapa, designed for Galleria Arform, Milan im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 309.000,00 (€ 351.918,09).
