It achieved a price of EUR 1,512.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ettore Sottsass achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composizione di elementi di legno colorato e specchio, il tutto unito da funi di canapa, designed for Galleria Arform, Milan in April 2018 with an auction result of GBP 309,000.00 (€ 351,918.09).

Die Arbeit Lampe de table Sinus, le modèle créé en 1972 von Ettore Sottsass kam im März 2021 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 1.512,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ettore Sottsass erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composizione di elementi di legno colorato e specchio, il tutto unito da funi di canapa, designed for Galleria Arform, Milan im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 309.000,00 (€ 351.918,09).
