Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Confusion By Brushing Past 2019-108 by Etsu Egami was auctioned at Bonhams in Hong Kong in November this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 45,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 51,200.00 (€ 6,008.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Etsu Egami achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rainbow in April this year with an auction result of HKD 264,000.00 (€ 269,595.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Confusion By Brushing Past 2019-108 von Etsu Egami kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 45.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 51.200,00 (€ 6.008,07) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Etsu Egami erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rainbow im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 264.000,00 (€ 269.595,65).
