Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Rainbow 2021-T-11 by Etsu Egami. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 200,000.00 – 400,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 240,000.00 (€ 29,023.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Etsu Egami have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rainbow in April this year with an auction result of HKD 264,000.00 (€ 269,595.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rainbow 2021-T-11 von Etsu Egami zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 240.000,00 (€ 29.023,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Etsu Egami auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rainbow im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 264.000,00 (€ 269.595,65).
