Auction result misses estimated price range
In October this year a collector was able to acquire the work Rainbow-2022-W-29(Painted In 2022) by Etsu Egami for HKD 228,000.00 (€ 27,572.29). This price was achieved in the auction Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art at China Guardian and was even below the estimate range of HKD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Etsu Egami have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rainbow in April this year with an auction result of HKD 264,000.00 (€ 269,595.65).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Rainbow-2022-W-29(Painted In 2022) von Etsu Egami für HKD 228.000,00 (€ 27.572,29) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art bei China Guardian erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Etsu Egami auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rainbow im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 264.000,00 (€ 269.595,65).
