Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Rainbow(Painted In 2021) by Etsu Egami was auctioned at China Guardian in October this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 120,000.00 – 200,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 110,400.00 (€ 13,350.79). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Etsu Egami achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rainbow in April this year with an auction result of HKD 264,000.00 (€ 269,595.65).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Rainbow(Painted In 2021) von Etsu Egami im Oktober diesen Jahres bei China Guardian versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 110.400,00 (€ 13.350,79) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Etsu Egami erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rainbow im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 264.000,00 (€ 269.595,65).
