The work Planète 26 by Etel Adnan was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in October this year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 104,140.00 (€ 119,581.65), 49% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Etel Adnan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2021 for GBP 352,800.00 (€ 417,972.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 49 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Planète 26 von Etel Adnan wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 104.140,00 (€ 119.581,65) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Etel Adnan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für GBP 352.800,00 (€ 417.972,71) versteigert wurde.
