Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Kyoto, Room 211. by Erwin Olaf was auctioned at VAN HAM in Cologne in June 2021. It achieved a price of EUR 7,095.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18 %. Admittedly, works by Erwin Olaf have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Hallway from Hope in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 34,916.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Kyoto, Room 211. von Erwin Olaf kam im Juni 2021 bei VAN HAM in Köln zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 7.095,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Erwin Olaf auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Hallway from Hope im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 34.916,20).
