In November 2016 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism, which included the work Istanbul, Valide und Solimanie Moschee; Istanbul, Valide and the Suleymaniye mosque by Ernst Karl Eugen Koerner. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 22,500.00 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ernst Karl Eugen Koerner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View Across the Golden Horn, Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque beyond, Constantinople in October 2015 with an auction result of USD 149,000.00 (€ 134,939.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im November 2016 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism durch, in der auch die Arbeit Istanbul, Valide und Solimanie Moschee; Istanbul, Valide and the Suleymaniye mosque von Ernst Karl Eugen Koerner zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 22.500,00 und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ernst Karl Eugen Koerner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit View Across the Golden Horn, Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque beyond, Constantinople im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 149.000,00 (€ 134.939,32).
