Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The pyramids at Gizeh by Ernst Karl Eugen Koerner was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,748.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ernst Karl Eugen Koerner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View Across the Golden Horn, Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque beyond, Constantinople in October 2015 with an auction result of USD 149,000.00 (€ 134,939.32).

Die Arbeit The pyramids at Gizeh von Ernst Karl Eugen Koerner kam im Dezember 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.748,28) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ernst Karl Eugen Koerner erzielen.
