The work German Twilight On The Nile by Ernst Karl Eugen Koerner was sold in the European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting auction at Sothebys in London in November 2008. The auction ended at the price of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 36,272.25), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ernst Karl Eugen Koerner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View Across the Golden Horn, Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque beyond, Constantinople, which sold at auction in October 2015 for USD 149,000.00 (€ 134,939.32).
