In the European Paintings including German, Austrian & Central European Paintings and The Orientalist Sale auction, the work German The Temple Of Seti I, Abydos sold for GBP 79,700.00 (€ 101,381.88) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 45,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ernst Karl Eugen Koerner; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot View Across the Golden Horn, Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque beyond, Constantinople sold at auction in October 2015 with the realized price of USD 149,000.00 (€ 134,939.32).
